Pranav is a partner based in the New Delhi office of the Firm and focusses his practice on technology (including IT and FinTech), life sciences, healthcare, infrastructure, power, oil and gas and EPC/ construction sectors. In these sectors his practice comprises advising clients on transactional work as well as representing them on high-value commercial disputes. His transactional experience includes advising clients on cross-border (both inbound and outbound) investments, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, corporate restructuring, appointment of contractors (including by conducting bidding processes) and general contracting work.

Pranav has authored several publications and frequently speaks on a variety of topics in international fora. He is also an Officer at the International Bar Association.

  • Definitive Healthcare (a NASDAQ listed entity) on India leg of the acquisition of Analytical Wizards, an industry leader in delivering technology-enabled advanced analytics to life sciences companies.
  • Junio on its pre-series A round of funding. The Fintech startup has raised funding round led by UAE-based NB Ventures, with significant participation from the existing investor Rajiv Dadlani Group.
  • Padmini VNA Mechatronics on a joint venture with Vitesco Technologies (part of Continental group) to manufacture and sell automotive parts in India.
  • Abu Dhabi Development Holding Company P.J.S.C (ADQ), a sovereign wealth fund located in Abu Dhabi, on its investment in CollegeDekho, an online college admissions and higher education services platform.
  • Quaker Chemical Corporation on acquisition of a 45% stake in its Indian joint venture, from its exiting joint venture partner Asianol Lubricants.
  • Petronet LNG Limited (Petronet) on its acquisition of 26% stake in an LNG ship owning company in Singapore.
  • Dufry AG on the acquisition of Nuance Group for a consideration of CHF 1.55 billion on a debt- and cash-free basis.
  • Think Gas on drafting of its model/ template gas sale purchase agreements for sale of gas through its CGD network.
  • Höegh LNG on chartering of Höegh LNG’s Floating, Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU), Höegh Giant, for H-Energy's LNG import terminal in Jaigarh, in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra, India. This will be the first FSRU based LNG import terminal to commence operations in India and Höegh Giant will be the first FSRU to operate in India.
  • GSPC LNG Ltd. on the bidding process for appointment of a contractor for design, engineering, procurement and construction of sea water intake and outflow system for its LNG regasification terminal at Mundra, Gujarat. In the process, drafting, negotiating and finalizing and assisting in execution of EPC contract and the bidding documents.
  • Toshiba Corporation, Japan in relation to its participation in bidding for the engineering, procurement and construction contract for setting up a 660 MW thermal power plant for Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd, a wholly owned state thermal power utility.
  • Toshiba Corporation, Japan on its sub-contract arrangement with Doosan Power in relation to an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a power project including drafting the sub-contract agreement.
  • Petronet on its global tender in relation to appointment of a port operator for its LNG terminal at Dahej.
  • Indian Oil Corporation on a joint operating agreement with a joint venture partner for undertaking exploration, development, production and transport of petroleum resources under a production sharing contract executed with the Government of India.
  • Petronet on an international competitive bidding conducted by Petronet for chartering of a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) for Petronet’s proposed LNG terminal in Gangavaram, Andhra Pradesh, India including drafting and negotiating the bid documents and the time charter agreement.
  • A UK based ship owner on enforcement of USD 125 million arbitral awards in India against a multinational trading company located out of UAE with some assets in India.
  • A large Japanese corporation on its contractual dispute with the distributor of its products in India including in settlement negotiation and litigation strategy.
  • A manufacturing entity on a domestic arbitration under an insurance policy with a large public sector insurance company.
  • An Indian subsidiary of a US based Fortune 500 company on a potential writ petition before the Bombay High Court challenging the bidding process conducted by a Government entity in India.
  • Alfanar Group, a company headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a turnover of US $ 2.5 billion, on a Euros 120 million acquisition of entire B2B automation business from India's Crompton Greaves Limited on a global basis.
  • Andritz India on a joint venture with a Bhutanese Government company for setting up manufacturing facility for secondary equipment for hydro power plants in Bhutan.
  • Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery, Inc. (Mitsubishi), world's leading heavy machinery manufacturers, on its joint venture with Siemens AG involving transfer of metallurgical businesses of Mitsubishi and Siemens AG into a joint venture headquartered in the UK.
  • Intuitive Surgical Inc, a Fortune 500 company, on starting of its activities in India involving distribution in India of robotic surgical arms / systems manufactured by the client.
  • HPCL Shapoorji Energy Private Limited (HSEPL) on the bidding process for appointment of EPC contractors for setting up storage tanks, marine facilities and regasification facilities for their proposed LNG regasification terminal at Chhara, Gujarat.
  • Various entities including I Squared Capital and Atlantic Gulf and Pacific Company of Manila in relation to bidding CGD licenses in India under the IXth round of CGD bidding recently conducted by the Government.
